Hi, my name is Joyce Gipson!
I grew up in Decatur, Michigan. Though my family was poor, we were a happy bunch. After graduating from Decatur High, I went to Southwestern College for my associate’s degree. Later, I returned to Andrews University to earn my bachelor’s degree. As your Governor, I will fight with wisdom, in prayer, and in Jesus’ name.
As a lifelong Michigan resident, I am the great-granddaughter of slave descendants. My family may have come through oppression, but I am a happy and very grateful American.
The Founding Fathers of the United States established this nation on the principle of “In God We Trust.”

GOAL 1
Stand for our First Amendment—our freedom of speech. I will fight to protect the unborn (stop Michigan tax dollars from paying for abortions in our state and in neighboring states).
GOAL 2
I will fight for our children (stop boys from competing in girls’ sports and end the sexual mutilation of our youth).
GOAL 3
I will fight for veterans and for our seniors. Let’s talk, Michigan—I will fight for you.
